Front yard landscaping needs to be completed within one year of occupancy.

All plans for front yard landscaping must be submitted to the ACC for approval.  Unlike many other associations, the Artesia ACC does not need to approve the types of trees or shrubs that you want to plant.  The choice is entirely yours!

The primary concern of both the ACC and the Association is to have the front yards covered in one medium or another that ultimatley helps to reduce the amount of dust.  You will see many beautiful front yards as you drive through the neighborhood.  While many are comprised of desert landscaping which are both low water usage and low maintenance, your landscape is limited only by your imagination.

You will also note that almost every owner has continued their landscape from their property line, through the easement, and all the way down to the road.  While you are not required to do so, the Association does encourage you to do so.  Driving through the development you can't help to notice how beautiful this looks.

If you choose not extend your landscape materials to include your easement, please remember that you are still responsible for keeping the easment free of weeds.  The Association has also noted that owners who have opted not to landscape their easements have lost some of their landscape materials with each rainfall.

Your plans should include a description of the ground cover, the trees, bushes and plants that you plan to use.  You may proced with your landscape project once your plans have been approved by the ACC.

Please call the Artesia office if you own a corner lot as specific guidelines will apply.  We would recommend that you submit your plans well in advance in order to have the landscaping completed before the one year time limit.

Please notify the ACC when your project is completed.
